The county-first advantage

A claim reaches its county recorder and the federal MLRS on two independent clocks from the same staking date. The county side usually moves first; a federal-only database misses that interval. OverTap Claims joins county to federal, so both views sit side by side.

• Field-ready exports — GPX, KML, and CSV carry section-level positions for every land-bearing claim, including beta boundaries where the description supports them; monuments control on the ground.
• Findable by land description — search by PLSS township, range and section, by claimant, or by claim name, across covered counties.
• County-to-federal linkage — matched by land description, never by name; a sworn document match stays distinct from a land-overlap candidate, and every match says which it is.
